Retainer Hell

It has been 2wks since I got my braces off and my retainer is loose already...its an hr journey to my ortho so I am procarsinating calling them...but I think I should just too be sure.

It has been 2 years and I finally got these babies off...the retainer isnt fitting properly...but I was told it will soon...p.s the retainer kills and I only have to wear it at night.

That is what my ortho said when he finshed checking to see whether or not the braces were going to be removed...Ouch is the best word...I kinda regret getting ceramics b/c it was harder to remove than the metal...and a negative it left a load of glue behind...It wasnt the most pleasent experience of my life...my mouth were making sounds I never knew they could make...ne ways I luv the results.... I was supposed to get the retainer in a week but since the ortho is going on vacation...I'm getting them this thursday...THANK GOD...b/c if I couldn't get them soon I would still have braces on...it feels weird and great to be metal free...words cannot even express...Ne ways I will be posting my finished product and retainer pic on friday.

I see the light at the end of the tunnel
I am so excited I just went to my third debond check...and I my top fixed retainers...which was not the easiest thing in the world. After 30 minutes of having my mouth open and the ortho and the assistance trying to fix the retainer on I was done. When I sat up the assistant which I love...told me that the next appt. I will have my braces removed (jumping up for joy)...so she leaves and comes back in the room and tells me that my next appt will be in six weeks...which makes it May 9, 2006...I couldn't believe it. So she told me that the ortho was going to come in and take a look and left the room once again...keep in mind I was in a state of exstacy...I got up and booked my next appt. and left the office...I'm such a nerd...my next appt. I will also be given a removable retainer...what kind I have no ideas. Wow Three retainers for one person...could it get any better?

im not down but thats the only word that could relate to how Im feeling...Micro Midterm...Ne who today I went for my 2nd debond check (posting pics soon)...and it has come to the wire...the gap was still there so she manually closed it...with a "staple"(metal wire joined to both teeth, and a piler used to rotate the wire and close the gap). My gap closed within seconds...but i was in ALOT of pain i almost cried...ne who my 3rd debond is on March 28...and I was supposed to get my top retainer put on but the gap wasn't small enough...well it is now. Hopefully soon my teeth will see the light of day.

I went for my debond check today and guess what they arent coming off what a surpise...not. But neways my next appt on Feb 28 im getting my top retainer fixed on. Today the ortho noticed that removing my powerchains for 6 wks only pushed back the progress so he placed two heavy powerchains on the top...they hurt like heck...but its worth it...im not looking forward to my next appt. because i noe its going to be hard for me to adjust to two fixed retainers in my mouth.

Ok i went to my appt on Nov 16, 2005 and they placed fixed retainers on my bottom teeth but kept my braces on. They set a debonding check date which is Jan 11, 2006. Then they will decide if i can get these babies removed or not....im hoping removed. But the fernum is still bothering me cuz i dont want my gap to reopen...i went to the dentist to aske about removing it and he said it is a simple procedure...but i should speak with my ortho ...this is so frustrating because i want it removed.

Another Boring Appt.

I had my appt. yesturday at the ortho. the only thing i got done was an x ray...can you beleive it i only have 3-5mths left in braces and all they did was give me an x ray and put the same powerchain on!!!!!!I'm starting to get anixious about getting these off...but my next appt. i get to talk to my ortho and im going to bring the option of having a Frenectomy.

I'm offically 20yrs...I feel old but what can I do?2day I had adjusment nothing interesting happened...but my ortho told me that my next visit I will have 2nd set of xrays taken...what the heck 4?I should've asked...but I did'nt cuz it slipped my mind...no pic included cuz nothing happened.
